Belmont is a hillside grid of gingerbread houses, steel pan yards, and rum shops that never quite closed. From our front gate on Belmont Circular Road it is nine minutes to the Savannah, twenty-five to Maracas Beach, and a whole lifetime from the resort strip.

Queen's Park Savannah
The world's largest roundabout, and the city's front lawn. Morning coconuts, Carnival grandstands, and the Magnificent Seven mansions along the western edge.
Maracas Bay
A palm-lined north coast crescent, reached by the winding North Coast Road. Order the shark and bake at Richard's, take the sunset home with you.
Carnival (Feb, Mar)
Belmont is where bands are still built by hand. We hold rooms for returning Carnival guests eleven months a year, ask about the standing reservation.
Royal Botanic Gardens
Sixty-two acres of specimen trees laid out in 1818, one of the oldest gardens in the Western Hemisphere, and the quietest lunch in the city.
The three things you must try.
Doubles for breakfast at Sauce Doubles on the Circular. Shark and bake at Richard's after a Maracas swim. Roti from Patraj on a Saturday. Walking distance from the gate, all three.

Downtown Port of Spain is a nine-minute walk. For everything further we book you a driver we trust. Rideshare works in the city, less so on the coast. Airport pickup is included on every stay.
Every season, a reason.
Feb, Mar is Carnival, the two biggest weeks of the year. May to Aug brings the rains and the greens, a quiet, cheaper time. Oct to Dec is dry, festive, and Divali-lit.
